PORTLAND – Arnold W. Dugmore, 74, of Denmark, died Thursday, Sept. 6, at Maine Medical Center.
He was born in Boston, Mass., on May 10, 1933, the son of Vincent and Ida Hunt Dugmore. He graduated from Braintree High School and faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955.
He married Frances Ryan on Sept. 28, 1958. He had been employed with Boston Edison as a steam room engineer for 41 years, retiring to Maine after living in Abbington, Mass., for 32 years.
He was a hunter and enjoyed fishing, woodworking, trap shooting and motorcycle riding. He was a member of the Western Maine Fish and Game. He was a very kind, wonderful person with a great sense of humor. He was dearly loved by his family.
He is survived by his wife of Denmark; a son, Stephen of South Paris; a daughter, Kathy Deluca and her husband, Daniel, of South Paris; a brother, Donald Dugmore and his wife, Audrey of Braintree, Mass.; a sister, Doris Lewald of Hanover, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews.
