Homemakers

PERU – Extension Homemakers will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, at the Peru Baptist Church. Members are asked to bring ideas for the upcoming year and a bag lunch.

Updated projects and community service will interest women of all ages. New members are welcome.

Church sale

MEXICO – The Mexico Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, will hold its final indoor/outdoor market on the front lawn and in the dining room basement at the “Green Church,” 163 Main St., from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15. The Mexico Police Department will have a table to get out information and accept donations for its new program for young people called “The Explorers.”

As a final yard sale special, people can rent a 12×12 space outside and bring a table for $10 or rent a table inside for $15.

The Fryewood Farm will be there with fall flowers, veggies and pumpkins. Inside there will be baby and toddler clothes on sale. Call Gail True at 562-4367 for more information or to make a reservation.
