AUBURN – Arthur J. Roy, adjutant of the Capt. Frank W. Hulett Post 1603, Veterans of Foreign Wars, 588 Minot Ave., has received a national appointment as chairman of the National Homeless Veterans Committee.

Commander-in-Chief George J. Lisicki of New Jersey made the appointment.

Roy has also received an invitation to attend the Eastern States Conference in Albany, N.Y., on Nov. 16 to 18 and the National Community Service Conference/Legislative Conference to be held at the Omni Shoreham in Washington, D.C., March 4 to 7.

Roy is serving District 9 VFW as quartermaster and the Department of Maine VFW as public relations officer, state assistant adjutant/quartermaster and Veterans Memorial Cemetery chairman. He lives on Russell Street in Lewiston.
