BRADENTON, Fla. – Avis Hammond Karvel, 92, of Bradenton, Fla., formerly of Rumford, passed away Sept. 6.
She was born Dec. 4, 1914. She was a Bradenton resident since 1997. She went there from Las Vegas, although she lived most of her life in the Dixfield-Rumford area, where she spent her summers.
She was a beautician and a Protestant. She loved life, her family and friends. She had a real zest for living until the very end.
She is survived by two daughters, Joan (Ray) Bolduc and Jacqueline Stevens; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Victor; son, James Karvel; and granddaughter, Kiley Bolduc.
