Norman McKeone, chairman of Auburn Housing Authority’s board of commissioners, presented a $750 scholarship to Hibo Omer, who is attending L/A College. Another scholarship winner, Asmo Dol, was unable to attend. She is also attending L/A College. The scholarships have been offered annually on a competitive basis to residents of public housing in Auburn. The majority of Auburn Housing Authority’s nonelderly residents are working, attending school or both.
