AUBURN – Madeleine D. Michaud, 74, formerly of Worumbo Estates in Lisbon, passed away Monday, Sept. 10, at the Clover Manor Health Care Facility.

She was born in Litchfield, June 25, 1933, a daughter of Alcide and Maria (Baillargeon) Boisvert. She was educated in local schools and remained a lifelong resident of this community.

On Feb. 6, 1954, she got married at St. Anne’s Church in Lisbon to John B. Michaud Jr., who passed away in July 2003. She first worked for a number of years at Zayre’s Department Store in Lewiston, and later spent more than 20 years at Ames Department Store until her retirement June 1, 1991.

She was a member of the former St. Anne’s Church in Lisbon and among her favorite enjoyments in her free time were playing pinochle and taking pictures, especially those of unsuspecting family members having fun at family gatherings.

Her very favorite times, were indeed, spent at family get-togethers as she truly enjoyed the special atmosphere and feeling that evolved just watching her family, children and grandchildren enjoying those special times and having so much fun with each other. She will be sadly missed by family and friends.

She leaves a daughter, Dee Gagnon, and husband, Mike, of Pittsfield; three sons, Tom Michaud of China Village, Rick Michaud, and wife, Gail, of Kenasaw, Ga., and Jim Michaud, and wife, Robin, of Gardiner; five grandchildren, Charity, Sara, Steven, Crystal and Andrew; three great-grandchildren, Brandon, Ariana and Jonathan; two sisters, Aline Boisvert of Topsham and Gilberte Bechard of Monmouth; a brother, Albert Boisvert, and wife, Jeannine, of Lewiston; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Joan Burgin; and four brothers, Normand, Fernand, Reginald “Blackie” and Arthur “Butch” Boisvert.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks and gratitude to the entire staff at Clover Manor, to whom Madeleine was like family, for the dedicated and exceptional care she received for so long and also, most recently, to the staff of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice for their excellent care as well.
