GORHAM – Rachel Greenwood’s goal helped Bates remain unbeaten with a 2-1 field hockey victory over the University of Southern Maine on Thursday.

Lindsey Ferguson also scored for Bates (2-0-1). India Lowe scored USM’s lone goal.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Jon Okafor headed in the game-winning goal from a flip-throw by Darren Howerton 17 minutes left in the contest to give Brown a 2-1 victory.

Maine (1-4) scored first when Dimitri Anastasiou picked up a feed in the middle from Nemanja Kostic in the first half. Brown (3-0) tied the contest 20 minutes later.
