FARMINGTON – The Healthy Community Coalition and the Ben Franklin Center at Franklin Memorial Hospital will hold two free community presentations on Franklin Health Access-Rx, a program that helps area residents find ways to lower the cost of medicines. As part of the presentation, staff from Franklin Health Access will provide information on how to take medicines correctly and safely.

The presentations are Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Treat Memorial Library in Livermore Falls and Wednesday, Oct. 10, in the Community Room at Rangeley Town House Apartments. Both take place from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Child care is also available upon advance request.

The presentations are part of the new Six O’clock Series, a collaborative effort of the coalition and the Ben Franklin Center at Franklin Memorial Hospital. The series features monthly presentations on health topics and provides information on how to connect to community resources relevant to the topic.

Presentations will be held throughout greater Franklin County. Upcoming topics include alternative and complementary therapies, and managing diabetes over the holidays.
