OTISFIELD – The Otisfield Volunteer Firefighter’s Association will hold its fourth annual Harvest Dance from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Otisfield Community Hall.
The dance is a fundraiser that supports the association’s involvement in the community with events such as Bike Safety Day, Fire Prevention Week and the Otisfield Winter Carnival.
The association is also raising money to purchase equipment (three hose strainers) for the fire department. Admission is $10 a person to be paid at the door. Snacks will be provided by the association at no cost. A 50/50 drawing will be held as well as raffles for a cord of wood, a Maine theme basket filled with local goodies and a wrench set.
Those who cannot make it to the dance but would like to support the event and the association may donate items for the raffles as well make monetary donations. Checks can be made payable to the Otisfield Volunteer Firefighter’s Association and mailed to Spurr’s Corner Fire Station, 994 State Route 121, Otisfield, ME 04270.
