Remembering mothers

American Legion District 3 Commander Kenneth G. Bouchard is calling for remembrance of Gold Star Mothers Day on Tuesday, Sept. 18. The American Gold Star Mothers Inc. was named after the Gold Star that families hung in their windows in honor of deceased veterans during World War I.
