LEWISTON – Funeral services were held Thursday for Donald J. Estabrook at the Guy B. Dostie Funeral Home. The Rev. Daryll Frasier, a close friend of Donald’s who drove from Ohio, officiated. After the funeral service, the casket was draped with our country’s flag. The funeral procession was taken by St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, where Donald was employed as the safety coordinator. Many of his co-workers lined the front of the hospital, as St. Mary’s Hospital Security Department saluted the procession. After the committal prayers at Broadview Cemetery, “Taps” was played and the flag was folded and presented to his wife, Jeannie in honor of his service to his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. Bagpiper Kathy Brownell played “Amazing Grace” as the congregation was dismissed. Pallbearers were Donald’s son, Sean Estabrook and his friends, Bob Kirouac, Ray Nadeau and Tony Grenier.
