WEST PARIS – John Arnold Swanson, 46, of South Paris died Wednesday, Sept. 12.

He was born in Burbank, Calif., on Feb. 25, 1961, the son of Henry Edward and Frances Beach Swanson. He had been employed at Maine Machine in the finish department for the last three years. He enjoyed fishing, camping and canoeing. He married Julia Broome on Oct. 29, 1988.

He is survived by his wife of South Paris; a daughter, Vanessa of South Paris; two sons, Adam and Cody, both of South Paris; two sisters, Marcia Greene of South Paris and Kathy Kelly Gaynor of Hartford; two brothers, Robert McGrath of Tilton, N.H., and Henry Swanson of Harrisburg, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
