AUGUSTA – The Maine Academy of Country Music’s fourth annual awards show will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23, at the American Legion Hall on Route 17.

As voted by the MACM, awards will go to Maine country music artists in these categories: induction to MACM’s Hillbilly Heaven, unsung hero, rising star, entertainer of the year, Maine vocalist of the year, female vocalist of the year, duel/group of the year, country band of the year, bluegrass band of the year, best country music song, instrumentalist of the year, gospel entertainer of the year – plus two living legend awards.

Hot dogs, sandwiches, desserts and soft drinks will be available for purchase. Admission is $8 for MACM members, $10 for the general public. Tickets will be available at the door, or by mail: P.O. Box 477, Clinton, Maine 04927-0477.
