The photo taken at the beautiful ceremony held at Veterans Park in Lewiston on Sept. 1, with the caption about “down where the dogs pee” was an insult to all veterans. Surely the photographer took many photos of the event, which more than 200 people attended.

Why did the Sun Journal have to print this picture in the Sunday paper?

An excellent photo of the $10,000 “Remember The Maine” monument dedicated by Rear Admiral Kevin McCoy from Washington, D.C., with staff representation from our Congresional delegation and both Mayors present would have been an honor to see in the paper, and added so much for all veterans to see.

I’m ask the Sun Journal to please write something better for veterans who gave so much to our country. I received many calls and e-mails about that picture.
