Wales – Shawn R. O’Brien, 39, a resident of Oak Hill Road in Wales, died unexpectedly Friday evening, Sept. 14, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 17, 1967, in Lewiston, the son of Richard and Joy (Wight) O’Brien. He was a graduate of Oak Hill High School. Shawn worked as a self-employed carpenter he became disabled in 1994. He enjoyed hiking, hunting, animals and especially his cat, “Puzzles.”
He is survived by his father, Richard O’Brien of Lewiston; his mother, Joy Peterkin of Litchfield; two sisters, Judith Beck of Monmouth, and Melissa Wyant of Chesterville; a brother, Marc Millett and his wife, Cynthia, of Wellington; and two stepbrothers, Rick and Donald Therrien, both of Lewiston; an uncle, Justin Wight of Florida; and his aunts, Beverly Nelson of Auburn and Gloria Redmond of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother, Vincent O’Brien; and his stepmother, Beverly O’Brien.
