WATERVILLE – Kayt DeMerchant, formerly community relations manager for Sisters of Charity Health System in Lewiston, has joined HealthReach Community Health Centers as director of communications.

DeMerchant, a Turner resident, joined the senior management team as director of communications. She will be responsible for leading the organization’s strategic marketing and public relations initiatives.

DeMerchant is a graduate of the University of New England. She is a volunteer for the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Maine and serves as the public relations chair on the Board of Advisors for the Stanton Bird Club, which manages nature sanctuaries in Monmouth and Lewiston.

HealthReach Community Health Centers is a private, nonprofit organization comprising a system of 11 federally qualified, community-based health centers located in central and western Maine.
