PORT NECHES, Texas – Frederick John King, 76, of Port Neches, Texas, died July 24, after a long illness.
He was born Sept. 13, 1930, in Mechanic Falls, a son of the late Edward John King and Grace Hartford King.
He graduated from Lewiston High School in 1949. He retired after serving 20 years in the U.S. Air Force as an air traffic controller. He was a resident of Port Neches for 37 years.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Dees King; daughters and their husbands, Grace Marie (Randy) Hunsucker and Dell Diane (Paul) Hoelzer; grandchildren, Kelly and Blake Thompson, Corey, Cameron and Craig Hoelzer; sisters, Charlotte Waite, Marianna Spugnardi, Betty Vachon and Judy Bean; brothers, Bradley, John, Patrick and Michael King.
He was predeceased by his sons, Harold Joseph and Cord Sidney King; four brothers, Edward, Raymond, Clarence and Walter; and one sister, Welthea Floyd Rowe.
