LEWISTON – Joseph “Roger” Fleming, 73, a resident of 156 Main St., Auburn, died early Saturday, Sept. 15, at Montello Manor.

He was the son of John J. and Luella (Oakes) Flemming, born April 17, 1934.

He was a wounded Korean War veteran, and had served many years as an animal control officer for both the Lewiston and Auburn police departments.

Survivors include one brother, Roland R. Fleming of Auburn; one stepson, Peter Bellefleur of Poland; and three grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Rita Bellefleur.
