FARMINGTON – Henrietta (Hines) Dill, 85, a resident of East Hartford, Conn., died Monday, Sept. 17, at Franklin Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
She was born on July 8, 1922, in Riley (Jay), the daughter of the late William H. Hines Sr. of Livermore Falls, and Catherine Marie Souleyreau Hines of Biscarrosse, France.
She was a graduate of Livermore Falls High School, Class of 1940. She lived in the Canton, Jay and Livermore Falls area until 1945, when she moved to East Hartford, Conn., and married the late Linwood M. Dill of Wilton, Conn.
She was a longtime member of the Wesley Memorial Church in East Hartford, Conn., and served as justice of the peace and notary public for many years. She enjoyed tending her flower and vegetable gardens and was very involved in family get-togethers. She also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and crafts and also loved her cats.
She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Lawton of East Hartford, Conn.; sons, Mark Dill, and his wife, Laura, of East Hartford, Conn., and Randy Dill of Manchester, Conn.; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; nieces, Susan Copeland, and her husband, Gary and Debra Davis, and her husband, Stanley, all of Fayette; a nephew, Jeffrey Hines, and his wife, Susan, of Auburn; devoted companion and special friend Robert Armandi of Jay, who she moved back to Maine to be with in August and took such loving care of her until her death.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Linda Ervin; a sister, Catherine F. Hines; a brother, William H. Hines Jr.; and a nephew, William H. Hines III.
