Soccer: Manchester United vs. Sporting Lisbon

2:30 p.m., ESPN2

A blogger on Man United’s official web site is terming this a must win for the United. There’s also a link on the site where you can place a bet on this game. Don’t know if the two are connected.

MLB: Red Sox at Blue Jays

7 p.m., NESN

Clay Buchholz gets his first start since the no-hitter on Sep. 1. Almost three weeks between starts. I know the Sox are babying this kid, but that’s just ridiculous.

MLB: Reds at Cubs

8 p.m., ESPN

The Cubs have been playing the best baseball of any of the division leaders so far down the stretch. Imagine that. The Cubs.

Bowling: U.S. Women’s Open
