We’re not accusing Hollywood of being overly imitative, but there does seem to have been a rash of composer biopics soon after 1942’s “Yankee Doodle Dandy” about George M. Cohan. We counted about a dozen of them over the 10 subsequent years, with subjects including Stephen Foster, George Gershwin, Cole Porter and John Philip Sousa.

Tuesday’s answer: A “limitation page,” found at the front of a limited-edition book, lists the total number of copies in the print run and the number of that particular copy. Such a page often includes the autograph of the author.
