Adult ed move

AUBURN – Auburn Adult and Community Education’s Learning Center has moved from the Great Falls School to the third floor of Auburn Hall at 60 Court St.

Those wishing may enroll at any time for the following classes: General Educational Development preparation, language arts writing lab, math lab and Wilson reading.

There are also classes to improve English language reading, writing, listening or speaking skills. Call 333-6601, ext. 1311, to make an appointment.

All programs are free and confidential.

Board to meet

LEWISTON – The CDS-Androscoggin County Governing Board will meet from 8:15 to 10:15 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 27, at the Child Development Services, 1567 Lisbon St. All interested parents and community providers are welcome. Persons requiring special accommodations may call 795-4022 to make arrangements.

Hypnotherapy class

LEWISTON – Certified hypnotherapist Valerie St. Clair will offer a four-week series on hypnotherapy for weight loss on Mondays, Oct. 3, 10, 17 and 24. Sessions will start at 6 p.m. in the Club 50 Room at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. The series costs $45. Call 753-5467 to register and pay St. Clair the night of the class.

Bridge winners

LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Social Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Sept. 17 were: first, Eileen Potvin and Della Starbird; second, Roger Labbe and Rosemarie Goodwin; third, Charles Bartlett and Les Buzzell; fourth, Marta Clements and Nancy Farmer; fifth, Jan Arey and Linda Leotsakos; third in B, Larry Fortier and Ron Reynolds; first in C, Paul Beegel and Fred Bates.
