Band to appear

SALEM – The Narrow Gauge String Band will return to the Salem Community Building at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30. The local group performs a mixture of old time country/bluegrass music. A donation box will be at the door. It is being sponsored by the Salem Pine Tree Club.

Haunted hayride

EUSTIS – The 12th annual PTC Haunted Hayride is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Cathedral Pines Campground.

If there is inclement weather, the rain date will be Saturday, Oct. 20.

New this year will be the “Family Festival,” which will include face painting, games and a costume contest from 5 to 6 p.m. Immediately following will be the hayride from 6 to 9 p.m.

The “Drop Dead Cafe” will serve lots of “special” treats for everyone as well. Call ahead for the senior/handicapped and group rates. Contact Tina Wyman at 246-2134 for more information.
