AUBURN – Joline C. Bilodeau, 72, of 159 Walnut St., Lewiston, died Monday, Sept. 17, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice.

She was born in Lewiston on Jan. 11, 1935, the daughter of Alphonse and Teresa Verville. Educated in local schools, she was married to Henry T. Bilodeau Jr. in 1954. He passed away in 1973.

After her marriage, she went to work for Raytheon in Lewiston, and after they closed she joined her husband in running the family business, Bilodeau’s Market, Reception Hall and Apartment Rental, where she was a jack-of-all-trades. She and her husband also had the first franchise in the area for Soft Spray Carwashes, and she later worked for Cooper Industries’ Arrow Hart Division in Brunswick for 15 years, retiring in 1997.

Her hobbies included vegetable and flower gardening, garage sailing, and caring for her cats, Mittens and Kitty Girl.

A member of St. Patrick’s parish, she is survived by a son, Mike, and wife, Ellie, of Sabattus; and two sisters, Terry Grover of Lewiston, whom she made her home with for the past 15 years, and Patricia, and husband, Paul Roux, of Lewiston.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Daniel.
