AUBURN – Mary Byras Adams, 91, of Lisbon Falls, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, at the Hospice House.
She was born in Lisbon Falls on Feb. 4, 1916, the daughter of Michael S. and Katherine Stocklas Byrus. She was educated in Lisbon schools and graduated from Lisbon Falls High School, Class of 1933.
On May 25, 1935, she married Michael M. Adams. He died on Feb. 8, 1963. She was a member of Saints Cyril and Methodius Church in Lisbon Falls and recently Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Lisbon Falls.
She was a member of the Rosary Sodality, the Ladies Branch of Jednota, and the Catholic Sokal wreath 3, Treasurer Group 3 Catholic Sokal. She was also a member of the Daughters of Isabella Senior Citizens and a member of the Saints Cyril and Methodius Church Council.
She had a love for music and playing the organ. She was an organist at the church, the children’s choir and the senior choir for more than 45 years. She was also the organist for the Daughters of Isabella for more than 20 years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
She is survived by her son, Martin M. Adams of Exeter N.H.; her daughter, Martha K. Cielinski, and her husband, Michael J., of Lisbon Falls; three grandsons, Martin Cielinski, and his wife, Amy, of Hollis N.H., Matthew Cielinski, and his wife, Jill, of Keene N.H., Michael A. Cielinski of Lisbon Falls; a granddaughter, Michele Adams Selby, and her husband, Bill, of Rochester, N.H.; six great-grandchildren, Daniel, Rebecca, Caroline, Cassandra, Cameron and Danica Cielinski; and her two nephews and niece of New York.
She was predeceased by her husband; parents; three brothers; two sisters; and her grandson, Mark Adams Cielinski.
