FARMINGTON – Clyde is a handsome boy with a great personality for a quiet household, according to the Franklin County Animal Shelter staff.

They said he is timid of strangers but shows it badly. Instead of cowering, he is straightforward and barks loudly.

His bark is worse than his bite, though. Within about five minutes of getting to know a person, he is rolling on his back, inviting the person to give him a good belly rub. Staff said he loves to be held and loves to give kisses.

Clyde is a staff favorite because of his willingness to give affection. He does not do well with small children or other dogs.

New dogs at the shelter include a female lab mix found in Industry and a beagle mix with chain collar.
