AUBURN – Russell E. Jackson, 55, of 16 Pike St. in Lisbon Falls died early Monday, Sept. 17, at the Hospice House with family at his side.

He was born in Lewiston Jan. 15, 1952, a son of Frederick and Edith (Ramsey) Jackson. He grew up and was educated in California schools, but has been a member of the Lisbon community for the last 20 years.

He was a career veteran of the military having served more than 20 years in the U.S. Navy until his retirement. After his military retirement, he was a mechanic and technician in maintenance for Lepage Bakeries in Lewiston for 13 years. He was a member of the American Legion and among his favorite interests and enjoyments were boating, hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle.

He leaves two daughters, Lesia Jackson of Redlands, Calif., and Cheran Jackson of Apple Valley, Calif.; his mother, Edith Jackson of Livermore Falls; a sister, Carmen Bruce of Batavia, Ill.; two nieces, Alta Schohr of Truth or Consequences, N.M., and Colleen Rushford of Oswego, Ill.; his fiancee, Susanne Randall of Lisbon Falls; and his three best friends, Dave Murphy of Princeton, George Starks of Lexington Park, Md., and David Franks of Lisbon.

He was predeceased by an infant daughter, Brandi.
