We and our circle of friends and acquaintances were upset with the presentation and content of Michael Johnson’s letter, published Sept. 11. It was not our intent to mislead anyone, as was presented by the Sun Journal and Mr. Johnson. We stand by our letter of Aug. 31, titled “Pray for the innocent.”

Our goal has been to expose the slander and calumny leveled at the Catholic Church and all its priests. We are praying for Michael Johnson, and all people who think as he does.

The truth is that not all of our Catholic priests are pedophiles or homosexuals. Our church is a great church, and there are a lot of wonderful men that go – and are going – into the priesthood.
