LEWISTON – Dr. Stephen L. Ebersole has joined Drs. Pauline V. Beale and Douglas J. Henry at Optometric Associates, 168 East Ave.He will practice primary family eye care with emphasis on early detection of potential eye and vision problems in infants and children.
For the past eight years, Dr. Ebersole worked in a large group practice which specialized in laser refractive surgery where he managed patients who were interested in, or who had previous LASIK or other refractive surgeries. Most recently, he felt a need to expand vision services offered to Maine’s young children. He served on the Maine Optometric Association’s board of directors as a leader in bringing the InfantSEE™ program to Maine. That program was developed to provide professional eye care for infants nationwide.
Dr. Ebersole is a graduate of the University of Delaware where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in biology. He earned his doctor of optometry degree from the Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1997, followed by an additional residency program centered on the diagnosis and management of common ocular diseases such as: glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.
He lives in Auburn with his wife and their son.
