RUMFORD – A Mass of Christian Burial for Marie L. Fortier of Peru was celebrated Saturday at St. Athanasius-St John Church, Rumford, with the Rev. Angelo LeVasseur as celebrant. Organist was Mark Belanger, altar assistant was George Gionet, readings were given by Angela Oliver and Bernard LeClerc, eulogy was given by Angela Oliver. Music selections included:”Be Not Afraid,” “Prayer of St. Francis,” “Ave Maria” and “Jerai Levoi de Jure.” Special music “Amazing Grace” and “The Journey” were sung by friends of RAAPA. Committal services were conducted by the Rev. LeVasseur. Interment was at St. John Cemetery, Rumford. A reception followed the services at the parish hall of St. Athanasius-St. John Church. Arrangements were under the direction of the Meader & Son Funeral Home.
