AUBURN – The Corporate and Community Services Department at Central Maine Community College is offering “Introduction to QuickBooks” (CCS 059-21) from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays, Oct. 3 through Nov. 7. The cost of $255 includes materials.

QuickBooks is the one of the most popular small-business computer accounting packages available. Participants will learn how to set up an accounting system for a company, manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, create invoices, bill customers, print checks and create financial statements.

A basic understanding of Windows is recommended.

The class will be taught by Jim Boucher, president of Boucher Consulting, focusing on increasing productivity through the utilization of current systems and resources. Boucher has 15-plus years of experience in managerial accounting and software consulting, including positions in companies large and small in manufacturing, retail distribution and education.
