Poland – Ralph Woodrow Marshall, 92, of Poland, died at his home on Thursday, Sept. 20.
He was born in Oxford on Feb. 14, 1915, the son of George and Viola Titus Marshall. He attended school in Mechanic Falls and had been employed for the Shaker Society, the town of Poland and later at Poland Spring Bottling, where he was a truck driver.
He loved fishing and hunting. He enjoyed working in his flower and vegetable gardens.
He married Gwendolyn Thurlow on May 14, 1939. She passed away on May 29, 1991.
He is survived by two sons, Brian Marshall and his girlfriend, Carolyn, and Ronnie Marshall, all of Poland; three daughters, Ida Thompson, Fay Gagne and Joan Stewart and her husband, Raymond, all of Poland; three grandsons; one granddaughter-in-law; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by two sons, George Marshall on Feb. 13, 1999 and Richard Marshall on May 7; and a son-in-law, Clifton Thompson.
