LEWISTON – Alice R. Poore, 72, died Sunday, Sept. 24, at Russell Park Manor.

She was born in Boston, Mass., on Dec. 24, 1934, the daughter of Frank and Gertrude (Sheperd) Burke. She moved to West Gardiner, where she lived with her grandmother Alice McLellan and grandfather Dana McLellan. She attended Gardiner High School.

She loved animals, especially her cats Samson and Delilah. She loved to socialize and dance to Brooks & Dunn music.

She had worked for Hewlett-Packard in California, and Digital Equipment Corp. in Augusta. She also took care of elderly people at various boarding homes in the Augusta area.

She is survived by her son, Dana Bonenfant, and his partner, Richard Lavorgna, of Auburn.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her former husband, Ron Poore; and her brother, Frank Burke.
