Off to see the Wizard
Gotta admit, the Yankees have it all over the Red Sox when it comes to rookie hazing. Sending their rookies off on their final road trip in Wizard of Oz costumes was a stroke of genius, especially Joba Chamberlain as the Cowardly Lion. Beats Teletubbies any day. The NFL and Major League Baseball say they will work with the Drug Enforcement Administration in finding out whether any of its players are linked to the massive steroid bust revealed on Monday. The DEA has made 124 arrests and seized literally tons of steroids as part of an 18-month international investigation. A database of clients is now being produced with speculation rife that it will contain the names of several professional athletes. With that many arrests and that much steroids seized, how could there not be dozens of athletes linked. Wise of Roger Goodell and Bud Selig to brace themselves for what’s coming.

I don’t know if I’m more delighted that racing’s incestuous relationship with sponsors comes back to bite it or knowing that I’m not the only one to lose just a little more respect for NASCAR for naming Coors Light it’s official beer.

You’ve probably seen or heard Gundy’s tirade a hundred times now. Did you have any idea who won the game until now? I sure didn’t.

So is it the attendance figures or the Nielsens that are misleading? It’s like having to choose which Presidential candidate to trust.
