LEWISTON – Roger Lee Richardson, 68, of Rumford, died Monday, Sept. 24, at Central Maine Medical Center. He was a lifelong resident of Rumford.

He was born in Rumford on Aug. 5, 1939, a son of Merle “Scotty” and Angelina (Fisher) Richardson Sr., and graduated from Stephens High School in Rumford, Class of 1957.

He ran the family dairy farm all his life and sold milk to Oakhurst Dairy. He took over the dairy farm when his father died and took care of his mother. He was a hard farm worker all his life. He enjoyed family reunions and get-togethers with his family. He was a communicant of St. Athanasius-St John Church.

He leaves behind a sister, Marie Jessup of Fairview, Ore.; brothers, John Richardson of Rumford, Raymond Richardson of Portsmouth, N.H., and Stephen Richardson of Dade City, Fla.; a special nephew, Roger Viger Sr. and his wife, Cindy, of Rumford; Roger’s presence and the farm will be sadly missed by all.

He was predeceased by sisters, Lorraine Vodola and Emma Viger; and brothers, Merle Richardson Jr. and Richard “Dick” Richardson.
