RUMFORD – The Mountain Valley High School Boosters gave out almost $20,000 to the athletic program last year.

The school had a successful sports year and achieved a first – winning the gold ball for Class B football and basketball. As a result, the Boosters’ treasury is at an all-time low and needs a supplement to continue providing awards and banners to recognize the accomplishments of student athletes.

This year Boosters are starting a new program to raise funds. Those who have empty ink or toner cartridges or cell phones can bring them to the homecoming games at Hosmer Field on Saturday, Sept. 29.

Boosters will also sell mums and pumpkins as well as Falcon apparel at the homecoming football game and the Saturday athletic competitions. They will serve food at the snack shack on Saturday.

Tickets for the half-time field goal kick raffle at the football game will be available. The winning ticket has a chance at the field goal kick jackpot and will receive a dinner at the Boiler Room for a Wednesday night.

Pictures with the Falcon will be available for $5; stop by the Boosters Booth at the games.
