Singer/songwriters Stephanie Hardy and Jason MacDonald, both of Cape Breton, will perform tonight at Skye Theatre Performing Arts Center in Carthage. In July, Hardy released her debut album, “Brand New Skin,” which includes 10 original songs she penned or co-wrote. Singles “Waiting for the Tide,” “Long Time Coming” and “Wonder Why” hit the No. 1 spot on the nationally syndicated, Internet-based East Coast Countdown before entering heavy rotation on regional broadcast radio. MacDonald’s second CD, “The Day,” earned him an ECMA 2006 Award nomination. His original songs feature contemporary folk infused with an adult alternative mix. The concert will begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 at the door. Call 562-4445 for reservations. Skye Theatre is at 2 Highland Drive.
