PARIS – The 4-H program in Oxford County is looking for more volunteers to work with young people across the county.

Four-H is open to children from age 5 to teen leaders as old as 18. The clubs are focused on different areas. In some cases they may be general and cover community service, leadership, crafts, arts, sciences, while some clubs may be specific by project area such as technology, career education, photography, livestock.

Four-H has grown over the years to allow members to pursue all types of project areas, from technology and science to entrepreneur work to the arts. Members can learn in any project they have interest in pursuing.

Clubs are focused on quality learning experiences. They can be started with as few as four members and be designed to focus on one project or a number of areas.

There are no mandatory fundraising requirements, no mandatory dues at the county, regional or national level. Clubs can opt to do fundraising or collect small dues to support projects, but they are not required.
