FARMINGTON – Arthur L. Lambert Sr., 74, of Farmington, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Franklin Memorial Hospital.
He was born Nov. 12, 1932, in Farmington, a son of Harry and Ruth (Staples) Lambert. He was educated in the schools of Farmington, graduating from Farmington High School, Class of 1952. He married Vicki Gilbert May 26, 1969 in Industry.
He worked for the First National Store for 24 years and later worked for Gifford’s Dairy, L.C. Andrews Construction in Portland and Rumford, Madison Paper Co. and Red Barn Auto Sales, until he retired in 1991.
He was past president of Northern Lites Snowmobile Club, member of the Sandy River Flying Club and the Trinity United Methodist Church in Farmington. He enjoyed flying, hunting, fishing and going to Spruce Pond.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki of Farmington; three sons, Arthur Lambert Jr. of Farmington, Kurt Lambert of Madison and Frank Lambert, U.S. Army, Missouri; one daughter, Ruth Wilbur of East Dixfield; two sisters, Ruphelle Tourcotte of East Livermore and Jane Bruneau of Madison; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Elvin and Eugene; and a sister, Estelle Collins.
