Blacksmiths meet
WILTON – The Western Maine Blacksmith’s Association will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, at the Wilton Historical Society. A program is planned and visitors are welcome. For more information, call Bill Reid at 778-2325.
Caregivers program
FARMINGTON – The Caregivers Support Group will meet from noon to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, in the Crosby Room at Franklin Memorial Hospital. The support group is for caregivers of family and friends with chronic illnesses, and focuses on caregivers who also work while providing care for their loved ones.
Topic will be “Managing the Financial Stress of Medical Expenses” and will feature Alex Freeman, patient advocate and supervisor of Self-Pay. He will discuss how to get through the insurance maze and talk to a real person, understanding the benefits of medical benefits, requesting a case manager, charitable care and handling collection agency calls.
