LEWISTON – A Lewiston man was ordered to prison for 15 years for being a felon with a firearm.

David Jackson, 31, was sentenced to federal prison after being found guilty of possessing a pair of guns after previous convictions for robbery and drug dealing.

According to court records, during a search of Jackson’s residence on July 13, 2004, police found two firearms hidden in a cereal box in the refrigerator. One of the firearms was a stolen .22-caliber revolver, prosecutors said, and the second was a .380-caliber pistol.

Court records reveal that Jackson had been convicted of robbery and two drug trafficking offenses and was considered an armed career criminal.

Following his federal prison sentence, Jackson will be on federal supervised release for five years.
