PANAMA CITY, Fla. – Suzanne “Sue” Irene Pelletier fought a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She went to be with the Lord on Thursday, Sept. 27. She went peacefully at home with her loving family by her side.

Sue was born in Lewiston, on Jan. 6, 1953. She graduated from Saint Dominics Catholic High School. Mr. and Mrs. Pelletier were married June 26, 1971, in Sault Ste Marie, Mich. Bob’s Air Force career took them all around the world. Sue accompanied him, making a loving home on 12 different Air Force bases before making Panama City their home in 1990.

They had a loving marriage and they set a wonderful example for everyone they met as to what a marriage should be. They were inseparable and true soul mates. Even after 37 years of marriage, many said they looked like two young newlyweds in love. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister whose life was centered around her family and the Holy Nativity community. She gave of herself and touched countless lives.

She was patient, gentle and she never said an unkind word. Her love and devotion for her precious husband, family and friends ran very deep. She always put their thoughts and feelings above her own. She was a source of wisdom, knowledge and practicality for everyone. She had an uncanny perception that allowed her to see the hearts of people, understand them and be patient with them. She was also dedicated to her family at Holy Nativity Episcopal School. The kids and the staff meant the world to her. The time she spent there filled her heart with so much joy and fulfillment. She will always carry the love of the children and staff in her heart.

She is survived by her precious husband of 37 years, Robert (Bob) Pelletier; three children, Catherine Urso and her husband Brian, Mike Pelletier and his wife Melinda, and Adrienne Pelletier; grandchildren, Andrew Urso, Paul Maddox and Kevin Pelletier; her sister Linda Coffin; her brother Roger Sarasin; and her father Fernand Sarasin.

She was predeceased by her mother, Priscilla Sarasin.

We all expect that when Sue sees God’s open arms, she will hear his voice and he will say, “Well done thou good and faithful servant!” Sue will be dearly missed, but we will always carry her in our hearts. God bless her and may she rest in peace.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to everyone at Holy Nativity School for their never-ending thoughtfulness. The family also wishes to express thanks to Dr. Slavens, Covenant Hospice and Dr. Malamud and his staff.
