FLORENCE, S.C. – Vera McDaniel Wrobel, 91, died Wednesday Sept. 26, at Regency Hospital in Florence, S.C..

She was born in Indiantown, S.C. on Feb. 4, 1916, a daughter of the late Perry Durant McDaniel and Annie Rogers McDaniel. She grew up in Prospect, S.C. and attended schools there. She was married to the late Edward Mitchell Wrobel, and they made their home in Pawley’s Island, S.C.

She was a very well-known seamstress in the area. She was also a member of the Precious Blood of Christ Catholic Church.

Surviving are a son, Darrell Wrobel of McGehee, Ark; two daughters, Jo Ann Ellingwood, of Tampa, Fla. and Barbara Wrobel, of Jay; four sisters, Wilma Prosser and Ruby Chandler of Johnsonville, S.C., Everett Eaddy of Columbia, S.C., and Elsie Fuller of Garner, N.C.; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
