LEWISTON – Plans are under way for Trinity Jubilee Center’s Care Walk 2007, which will be held on Saturday, Nov. 3.

The walk, a rain-or-shine event, will begin and end at Kennedy Park, corner of Bates and Spruce streets, and will consist of five laps (two miles) around Kennedy Park.

Care Walk 2007 will benefit the Jubilee Center, a nonprofit soup kitchen, emergency food pantry and refugee relation service dedicated to advocacy for those in need in the greater Lewiston-Auburn area.

Prizes for the top three fundraisers will be: first, four Boston Bruins tickets, second row center ice, Dec. 18, versus the Ottawa Senators; second, an overnight stay for two with breakfast at the Hilton Garden Inn Auburn Riverwatch; third, an OGIO turbulence duffel bag filled with Oxford Networks merchandise.

Throughout the walk gift certificates, sandwich coupons, lift tickets to Lost Valley and Lewiston Maineiacs tickets will be randomly given out. All walkers will receive goodie bags; walkers collecting $20 or more will receive Care Walk 2007 T-shirts.

Walk registration will begin at 8:30; laps may be walked any time between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Pledge cards may be picked up at Mechanics Savings Bank branches on Minot Avenue in Auburn and Main Street in Lewiston, or at the Jubilee Center at 247 Bates Street.
