FARMINGTON – Dakota J. Barry, 19, of Farmington, was arrested Friday on a felony charge of gross sexual assault for an ongoing consensual relationship with a 14-year-old, officer Bridgette Gilbert of the Farmington Police Department said.

Because of the age difference, Gilbert said, the relationship is not legal. She investigated the incident after receiving a report from the Department of Human Services.

Barry was released with $3,000 unsecured bail for a court appearance Oct. 26.
