LEWISTON – With the 2007 community fundraising campaign under way, four local businesses are supporting United Way of Androscoggin County by loaning individuals from their companies to assist with the fundraising goal of $1,900,000.

Loaned executives from L.L. Bean, Hannaford Auburn, Tambrands-P&G and Formed Fiber Technologies participated in an intensive weeklong training where they developed leadership, presentation, project management and public speaking skills, as well as a deeper knowledge of the impact United Way funded programs have on residents of Androscoggin County.

Loaned executives assist with the development and execution of workplace campaigns by conducting presentations to local businesses and groups of employees.

Joanie Davis-Dunn is on loan to United Way from L.L. Bean, where she is a front-line supervisor at the Lewiston call center. She is earning her bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine at Augusta. Davis-Dunn lives in Hebron with her husband, David, and daughter, Elizabeth.

Anthony Prock comes to United Way from Hannaford Auburn where he is an assistant customer service manager. Prock also devotes his time to helping people by working as an emergency medical technician.

Formed Fiber Technologies is sponsoring Kim Boucher. She is pursuing a bachelor’s degree from Walden University. Boucher resides in Monmouth with her husband, Tim.

Linda Wheeler is on loan from Tambrands/Proctor and Gamble, where she is an employee relations leader. A mother of three, Wheeler lives in Bowdoin with her husband, Walter.
