The Rumford Area Rotary’s Oktoberfest will kick off with a pancake breakfast at 8 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at the former armory on Lincoln Avenue. Booths of crafts, books, kids activities and games of chance will open at 9 a.m. A pizza lunch will be offered starting at 11 a.m., topped off by homemade apple crisp. Admission is free. Activities for kids will be a big part of Oktoberfest, whether it’s painting pumpkins or playing ring toss.
