LEWISTON – Saturday, Oct. 20, will be transformed into Super Saturday at Lewiston Adult Education. Classes for adults who want an opportunity to build skills, learn something new, or just have fun will be conducted in the one-day special event.
A variety of classes have been scheduled to meet multiple needs and interests.
“A Time for Me” is a reflective, morning workshop designed for mothers looking for tips to make parenting more satisfying,
“Block Quilting: Paper-Pieced Holiday Table Runner” is a chance to complete an heirloom quality table runner to keep or to give as a gift.
“CPR, First Aid and Automated External Defibrillator” will allow participants to get trained and certified by the American Heart Association.
“Knitting Fix-a-Stitch” is a half-day workshop designed for knitters who want to learn how to make project completion productive and efficient.
“Your Sign to Communicate” is a three-hour program that will teach the mysteries of astrology and helpful communication techniques.
“MS PowerPoint and PC Repairs and Upgrades” are two full-day technology classes.
“Round Gathering Basket” will allow attendees to create a hand-woven reed basket with leather handles.
“Women Building the Future, One Tool at a Time” is a chance for women to learn about and try specific home repairs as well as find out about a variety of careers in the trade and technical fields.
All classes are affordable, and completed in six hours or less. Lunch is included for all-day programs.
