FARMINGTON – The Mt. Blue High School Jazz Band, conducted by Karen Beacham, is once again inviting the public to its third annual autumn dance on Saturday, Oct. 20, at the Mt. Blue High School gym.
Members of the Mt. Blue High School Jazz Band will again be joined by the musicians of the Al Corey Jazz Band for an evening of multigenerational fun for new and experienced dancers of all ages.
Free dance lessons with Gary Smith, a New York dance instructor, will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Live music will be featured from 7:30 to 10:30, and 1930-40s attire would add to the fun, but is not required. Semi-formal dress is also welcome.
Tickets may be purchased at Mickey’s Hallmark in Farmington or at the door: $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and students. Included in the price of admission are milk and dark chocolate fountains. Bottled water will be available for sale, with proceeds benefiting the jazz band.
Jazz band members who will performing will include Emily Pottle, Marjorie Hardy, Meredith Allen, Shelby Aseltine, Erin Gray, Ashlie Hardy, Nick Beach, Sasha Collins-Faunce, Matt West, Jakob Wyder, Gordon Collins-Faunce, Aubrey Wiggins.
Also, Peter Roberts, Paul Harnden, Sam Correll, Adam Paul, Josh Hiltz, Jordan Williams, Kjell Nordstrom, Scott Storer, Gwen Beacham, Peter Coleman, Laura Crowley, Jodi Harnden and James Rossi.
