In Cal Thomas’ syndicated column of Sept. 29, he stated that since Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was allowed to speak here in America, we should demand reciprocity for our president.

I can think of nothing worse than George W. Bush speaking to the Iranian people. Bush has absolutely no diplomatic skills, and an approval rating here in this country of 29 percent. He has been quoted as asking, “Is our children learning?” And last week, he said, “Childrens do learn.” He thinks that people living in Australia are Austrians.

One can only hope that the nations of the world realize that President Bush does not speak for 71 percent of Americans.
